Winter

Restorative & Active

When winter descends upon the Tegernsee Valley, it reveals another, equally inspiring side – with snow glistening on the trees and the lake flashing its ice-blue colour beneath bright, clear skies. Our guests – and this includes working guests – are faced with a tough choice: do they prefer to keep it “staad”, as Bavarians call quiet winter days, for instance during a lakeshore walk on crunchy snow? Should they let themselves be carried through snowy valleys on a horse-drawn sleigh or take a gondola ride to the top of Mount Wallberg for its stunning panoramic views? Or should they seize one of the sports opportunities only on offer during this part of the year? With a trail network of over 100 km, the Tegernsee Valley represents a veritable paradise for cross-country ski fans. Alpine skiers will find ample downhill thrills across the Alpenplus resort region, as will tobogganists and ice-skaters: the Mount Wallberg sled run (at 6.5 km one of Germany’s longest) and various ice-skating rinks present unusual, fun-filled and refreshing settings for your team-building.
