Bad Wiessee

Some 500 years later, in his search for petroleum, the Dutch explorer Adrian Stoop discovered Bad Wiessee’s curative waters, which transpired to be the most concentrated iodine sulphur spring in Germany.

Now there’s more to attract people to Bad Wiessee than its medicinal springs and specialist clinics. The landscape at the foot of the Aueralm and Fockenstein Mountain works wonders for the body and soul.

There are breathtaking views along the idyllic footpaths and cycle routes. In summer, you can hone your golfing skills on a challenging 18-hole golf course with picturesque panoramas, while in winter, you can explore the area along many cross-country ski trails. And the lakeside promenade is the perfect place for a stroll all year round. For a different kind of adventure, you can try your luck in the casino. The casino’s Winner’s Lounge is also known for its regular cabaret and comedy events.
