Seehaus

The "Seehaus" was built around 1850 as an annex to today's town hall. The town hall was built as a school in 1682, used as a forestry office from 1817 to 1850, and after renovation (1888) as a town hall. The parish clerk had his apartment in the lake house and there were prison cells in it. Today you can enjoy here the specialty of the house, tapas (Spanish: small dishes),and Spanish wines, coffee with homemade cakes, Tegernsee trout from the lake fishery, Tegernsee beer and the fantastic view of the lake and the mountains.
