Convalescent care
Take a break
A convalescent care is a perfect opportunity to take a break and do something good for your health. Since the early 20th century, members of the aristocracy and other famous people have been coming to the Tegernsee to do exactly that.
Over time, the conditions associated with submitting a request for such treatment have changed. Today, the official term is no longer “convalescent care”, but “preventive out-patient care”. This is indeed more accurate, as the care doesn't involve living at a clinic and applies to health problems that have not yet arisen (or have just begun to crop up).
In Bad Wiessee are Germany's strongest iodine-sulfur springs, which have been in use for over 100 years. Iodine is important for a healthy metabolism and stable circulation, while sulfur has an anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effect. The extraordinarily strong combination of both elements is a special natural remedy: It regulates blood pressure, relaxes the muscles, deacidifies the body, regenerates the skin and respiratory tract, rejuvenates and strengthens the immune system, relieves eye problems and helps with allergies.
In addition, the certified healing climate in the climatic health resorts of Kreuth, Rottach-Egern and Tegernsee supports rebuilding training, holistic relaxation and recovery.
The special healing climate at Tegernsee is characterized by the following properties: In the forested areas of the foothills of the Alps, the climate is particularly mild and mild, in the upper mountainous areas it is ideal for solar therapy thanks to the high level of sunshine and in the high mountainous areas the pure pollen and dust-free air relieves stress the respiratory system. This combination of alternating climatic conditions represents a climatic stimulus that serves to strengthen the cardiovascular and immune systems, the respiratory tract or to support the recovery processes.
The 18 designated terrain spa trails in the Tegernsee valley offer the best conditions for appropriate exercise in the healing climate. Because all routes are classified by the German weather service in terms of performance physiology and bioclimate.
